Henley Regatta

What shall we do between messing about in a boat up river and messing about in a boat in Belgium?

Let’s go off to Henley. We had an invite to the Leander club and the Steward’s Enclosure. Major panic for the Commodore’s Lady – no trousers allowed , and the skirt or dress had to be below the knee….

Needless to say we had a fabulous and very civilised day. I was slightly worried that the day would deteriorate into an Ascot type debauchery and I really did not want to see young ladies passing out on the lawns. But it was nothing like that. Lots of youngsters rowing and lots of sober youngsters cheering and lots of boaty people drinking Pimms in a very civilised manner!

And lots of eye candy girls 🙂

Andrew spotted an Aston Martin. Yes, they make boats now apparently.

Lots of people dozing off in these very comfy seats after lunch!

Busy busy busy. Superb view of the boats tents and all the crews coming in and out..
