From Brugge to Deinze

Bye Bye Brugge say Graham and Ella

After 3 nights in Brugge we set off for the small town of Deinze on the River Leie. Aided by helpful riverside signposts ?
As it was a week day there were a lot more commercial barge hazards on our route
In Deinze one came round a blind corner but somehow missed us.

Some of us were moored up on the public moorings. Reginald Poppe from the town council had it all sorted, down to the signs. I was delighted to meet him after all our ‘very proper’ emails. I was even more delighted that he looked like Patrick Moore!
There was a 19 lap cycle race put in for our entertainment in the evening
