Breezy Breskens

The journey from Gent to Breskens was very pleasant, with the Gent-Terneuzen Canal not being as industrial as some we have seen recently. Lots of barge traffic, but railway bridges and locks opened pretty conveniently and after leaving the inland waterways, a 10nm sea trip later, and we were soon moored up in Breskens, with a very welcome breeze!

Typical lifting bridge – luckily we can all get under this one.
Two ginormous barges, side by side, come out of Terneuzen Lock. We wait!
