Last night at the boat club’s AGM, Don and Linda were voted in and take over as Commodore and Commodore’s Lady. We wish them all the best, maximum fun and minimum hassle.
Andrew was made a Vice President and I am officially a nobody. Well, I did get a Commerative badge so I guess that’s one up from a nobody?
Seriously, we would both like to say how grateful we are to all of you. To the admin at the club for all their hard work. To the TMYC’ers who have done so much to help us have fun this year. And to friends and family outside the club who have been very understanding about our absences.
In the meantime a new adventure starts in a week’s time, when we fly to Singapore for a long holiday. Those of you who can handle more aimless witterings are welcome to follow my next blog at http://eastafricanisles.uk/ . Scroll down to put in your email address, and ‘Confirm Follow’ on the resultant email, and you should get my updates when I write them.
Take care everyone. I am so pleased that we have this blog as a memory. This is the last post, ‘A year like no other’.

Congratulations! The Commodore and his Lady have done an outstanding job.
We look forward to celebrating and toasting with you in those exotic places.

I, for one, want to say how much I enjoyed 2018 and how grateful I am for the way you served our wonderful club’s membership as Commodore and Commodore’s Lady, an experience that I hope you enjoyed as much as I did in 2011.
A terrific year and a memorable blog. Thank you both for so much!? R&A
Best wishes and hope you both have a great holiday after all your hard work as Commodores Lady and Commodore. You deserve a well earned rest. Until we meet again on your return. X
